Christian Counseling
Hello,
I am a licensed Professional Counselor, having completed my Master's
Degree in Counseling at Montclair State University. I was in private practice in
New Jersey between 1990 and 2004. In November of 2004, my husband and I
relocated to Colorado Springs, CO.
New clients are welcome either in person at my home office in
Colorado Springs, or by phone session from anywhere.
I specialize in treating the wounded soul and past pain that
leaks into our current relationships and everyday life, things that create
problems such as depression, anxiety, broken connections, and unresolved grief.
One way I minister is through Theophostic Ministry, which is a vehicle for
bringing the Lord's truth to hidden areas of darkness and is a powerful means of
achieving inner healing and emotional wholeness.
Since childhood, I have loved the Lord, and know that He has
prepared and called me to minister in the field of counseling. I believe that
Jesus Christ is the Great Counselor (Is 9:6) and draw upon His presence and
wisdom in every counseling session.
I see the counseling experience as an opportunity to establish a
safe, confidential place to express our deepest pains, greatest fears, hidden
sins, and unspoken hopes and dreams. In no way do I judge or condemn the pain
that is revealed and shared. There is great healing in learning to be real and
honest in a setting of love and acceptance. As we begin to walk in the light of
truth and awareness, we can make choices to change and grow.
I am committed to assisting the growth and healing of my
clients. I have great confidence in the power of God to heal, and in the
relational, interactive counseling process to be effective toward that end.
